Alexander is a student at the University of Winnipeg in his last year of education holding a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre/Film. Calls Anchor Point his home church. He is passionate about worship and creating spaces for people to interact with the Father. As the director of Bread we Break Alexander longs to see unity within the church body of Manitoba. He is excited for what the Father is going to do in this community this season.
Lacey attends church at Grant Memorial with her husband Nic and baby girl Eden. She is currently loving being on maternity leave. Her daughter is a pure joy and gift from God. Before maternity leave she worked at CHVN radio. Lacey believes that there is nothing like being in the presence of God in worship. She is passionate about experiencing and leading others to experience freedom in who we have been created to be, fully belonging to the Father. Lacey believes that when the truth of who God is and who we are hits our hearts in a true way, there’s no other way to be but free.
Ryan is a full time Music Therapy Student at Canadian Mennonite University. He attends Eastview Church and leads worship there occasionally. Ryan is passionate about seeing Jesus' name lifted high in worship and loves seeing people pour their hearts out during times of musical worship. He loves being apart of a team where there is a commitment to following Jesus. Ryan looks forward to where God will lead this ministry and looks forward to seeing the ministry flourish
During the summer months Sierra works as a full time wedding photographer (sierrasavannah.com), while during the school year she studies Communications at The University of Winnipeg and serves cappuccinos at Little Sister Coffee Maker. She has been attending The Meeting Place for twenty one years and counting. Sierra is passionate about creativity in all its forms; especially media, photography and of course- music. Her own creative work is certainly fuelled by her awe and wonder of God's creativity.
Sean is an education student pursuing a joint program between The University of Winnipeg and The Red River College for teaching industrial arts. Sean works for a guitar company and for a woodworking store. He has been attending The Meeting Place for the last five years. Sean is passionate about working with youth because he had great mentors in school and wants to be able to make that same positive influence on others. He is also passionate about music, which he sees as a very powerful tool.
Luke attends Centrepoint Church and serves there as the Worship Pastor. He is passionate about music, creativity and excellence. Luke believes the people of God have so much creative potential because we are connected to the Creator. He believes we should pursue God in our creativity, so we can express God's beauty and character in new ways. He also believes we should do these things to the best of our ability because God deserves our best. Luke wants to serve on this team because of his desire to serve the Lord with the skills He's given him.
Bethany attends Gateway Church and is a Phys. Ed and French teacher at The King’s School. She believes passionately in educating and discipling young people for the glory of God. Bethany is the Equipping Director for Bread We Break and is excited to see young adults not only grow in their personal relationship with Jesus, but also in their ability and desire to share the love of Christ with others.
Nick is a student at the University of Winnipeg in his last year of the Education Program. He attends Gospel Mission Church and works as a barista at Whitecap in Winkler, Manitoba. He is passionate about sports, mainly basketball and he is passionate about God and seeking Him daily.
Malelo is a recent graduate from the University of Manitoba, holding a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Psychology. She attends Bethel Community Church and serves as a youth leader. She is passionate about people, specifically in regards to mental health and is eager to show God's love to all. She is excited to see the young adults of Manitoba grow in their constant pursuit of God and unite together in fellowship.
Adam is currently working as a graphic/web designer in Winkler. He attends Pathway Community Church. Adam is passionate about the Word of God and the edification of His children for His glory. He is excited to serve with Bread we Break because he has been so blessed by the community and wants to be involved in encouraging the body of Christ in the same way.
Chelsea is a fourth year student at the University of Winnipeg, in the faculty of education. She attends Riverwood Church and currently works at the Beausejour Dairy Bar. Chelsea is passionate about teaching, specifically teaching overseas. Her goal is to move to another country and have the opportunity to teach English there after she graduates. She has a desire to see the young adults of Winnipeg come together to lift up the name of Jesus and begin to transform this city. Chelsea is extremely excited to be a part of the vision that Bread We Break has for this city
Emily is an Education student at the University of Winnipeg and has spent many years working in daycare. She attends East View Community Church and serves as a young adults coordinator. She has a warm heart for young adults which led her to her role as Co-Hospitality Director of Bread We Break. She is looking forward to all that God has in store in this new season to come.
Jordan recently moved to Winnipeg. He is currently pursuing a career in the Canadian Armed Forces and has settled down at Anchor Point Church. Jordan aspires to live life to the fullest through Christ. He is passionate about soccer, as it has always been a part of his life. Through his walk, Jordan has noticed the ability and similarities soccer and the journey with Christ have in bringing people together, bringing peace to the world and uniting all who love this sport and faith during times of celebration or hardship.
